About me
I currently reside at Copacabana on the NSW Central Coast with my wife of 31 years, having moved here from the Blue Mountains and formally Sydney.
I initially became interested in a number of men' s groups in 1992 and later went on to study experiential psychology at The Sydney Gestalt Training Institute.
For what seems to be a very long time I have been actively involved in self-development and through gaining more self-awareness, have to some degree brought more balance into my life. I have been drawn to many self-help groups and have found that working with other like-minded individuals, in the group work process, very rewarding.
I experienced, and discovered, within these groups, a commonality that runs through all people. That through sharing our feelings, thoughts and experiences, with honesty and integrity, we create such a receptive environment to one another and a depth of contact that allows us to express and examine the content and dimensions of our lives more thoroughly.
Through this encounter, my deepest and most profound stirrings of self-appreciation,
self-love, and self-knowledge surfaced in the presence of individuals who I experienced
as totally accepting.
Qualifications
I attained a Diploma in Gestalt Therapy in 1999, after 5 years of group process work and
personal supervision. In addition, I attained a Diploma in Counselling from the Institute of Applied Counselling in Sydney during the same period. At present I am a Clinical member of C.A.P.A with 17 years experience in the mental health industry.
This period of self development in my life was the most challenging time I had ever encountered but was also the most rewarding.
My Practice is located at Copacabana Beach, on the NSW Central Coast.
