Gestalt Therapy

The emphasis of the work moves towards unification and engages personal resources needed for developing flexibility and resilience in the treatment of human discomfort. The central approach is to increase awareness through self-enquiry, of our own inner responses towards contact in relationships and the world in general. The process of living, maturing and individual growth is dependent upon contact in relation to self, others and the environment. Through increased awareness, clearer opportunities develop to promote quality in relationships and discover untapped personal resources to enhance effectiveness and well-being.

" We can only see our selves in relationship, and relationship is surely the mirror, in which you discover your self. "

Gestalt provides opportunities for developing self-awareness and out-growing power struggles and other destructive and habitual styles of relating to self and others, in turn becoming a more effective individual. The therapeutic goal is aimed at developing skills, both personally and professionally that support re-orientation to living more consciously and effectively in mind, body and spirit.

" We are raised on comparison, our education is based on it, and so is our culture. So we struggle to be some one, other than who we are. "

The Gestalt approach is direct, immediate and experiential and moves towards a deeper commitment to self-responsibility and development.

This transpersonal work, is a summons towards development of the human being, which can only be achieved if there is a real meeting between the conscious force which descends, essence, and the total commitment from the mature personality that answers it. This eventually brings about the union, experienced as Essential-Being.
